The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” ~Dr. Seuss

Accelerated Reader (AR) is a high priority in my classroom. I check the students progress daily and update them individually on a weekly bases. Everynight the students need to read 30 minutes min. for homework in an A.R. book. Students in my class will be told what their goal is based off of their STAR reading score. The STAR test is completed on the computer and based on how they respond to the questions, they are given a reading level. The students take this test every quarter.
Each student is expected to stay above an 85% or better. Since this class is the enrichment class, we expect by mid year that all students will have an 90% average and meet their goal each month. We will keep this site updated weekly with the top scores. In the classroom there will also be a graph, graphing all the students accomplishments. At the end of the quarter we will list all students that have earned the privliage of going to the A.R. party!
